Calendar 2022: Type faily

Stemming from an interest on similarity and compatibility between cross stitch and graphic design (typography), a classic cross stitch “font” was set as a base for exploring typographical possibilities. 12 variations were created and applied in a calendar with reference to textile samplers and type specimens. The A1+ sized hand embroidered piece was photographed and printed in the same scale as the original. The prints come with perforation lines and each month can be separated by hand.

クロスステッチとグラフィックデザイン（タイポグラフィー）の共通項と親和性への興味を起点とし、クロスステッチのクラシックな”フォント”を基本に12種類のバリエーションを制作、カレンダーに応用しました。
刺繍のサンプラーと書体見本から着想を得ています。
A1+サイズの手刺繍の原本は撮影され、およそ原寸にてオフセット印刷しています。カレンダーにはミシン目のカットが施されており、それぞれの月を手で切り取ることが可能です。
